DRAWINGS

I like drawings that hint strongly at what the pots might become. They are not meant to be "copied," but rather offer me good indications of where I'm heading with a fresh series of pots. Rather than stiff, outline-only sketches, I want the drawings to feel "clay-like." Once I begin the wet work, my drawings are often forgotten, having accomplished their purpose of getting me started in a new direction.
